Abstract : The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework for understanding job crafting behaviors (JCBs) as a proactive behavioral treatment in the relationship between job resources and low back pain (LBP). Though the relationship between job resources and LBP is well-established in the ergonomics literature, studies on the role of proactive behaviors are neglected. click here
More so, while a few studies have examined behavioral treatment and its role in to job resources – LBP relationship, none has examined JCBs in relation to job resources – LBP relationship. Hence, this paper discusses JCBs as a moderator of the job resources (staffing adequacy, social support, job control) – LBP relationships. A conceptual model supported by Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) theory is thus proposed for future empirical studies and for expanding the JCBs and ergonomics literature.

KEYWORD: Job Crafting Behaviors (JCBs), Low Back Pain (LBP), Staffing Adequacy, Social Support, Job Control.

ABSTRACT The student’s performance of mathematics at the Upper Primary level is of great concerned for the state holders. After passing eight standards, students enter into secondary level which is the bridge between the primary and the higher secondary levels because secondary level mainly decides the track in which the student will go. Therefore, it has a great impact on students’ future life. The study intends to investigate the effect of gender and medium of school on perception of mathematics among the upper primary students.  click here
A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study and the data was largely descriptive by nature. Questionnaires were used to collect the data from the students of 7th and 8th standard. These were administered on a sample of 780 students selected from 39 upper primary schools of Guwahati city. The internal reliability was examined. The data collected were coded and submitted to a Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) analysis which indicates overall that students’ perception of mathematics and the gender of the students are significantly correlated. Different statistical tools were used to analyze and interpreted of numerical data.

Abstract Tactile Defensiveness(TD) has two systems—One is protective system and another one is discriminating system. School age children who were previously able to separate from their caregivers, but now he will suddenly become anxious and fearful.  click here
A recent crisis in the community or in the family (such as a death, divorce, financial problems, move-out, etc.) may cause a young pupil become fearful or anxious; Toddlers will cry, cling  have temper tantrums when they are about to be separated from their caregiver. Some children fear that something terrible will happen to mother at home, while they are at school. Children who are struggling in school with academic or social problems, may also develop school phobia, school refusal or panic state. Prevalence is about 2-5%, mostly happen in kindergartens, a few from grade schools.

Abstract : Dry mining of titanium group minerals have been introduced in Sierra Leone aimed at replacing dredging, which has been characterized by serious environmental challenges.  Considering the importance of keeping the ore dry during the mining process, a baseline study was commissioned in and around the proposed mining site to assess the hydrogeological characteristics of the area.  This paper presents the findings of a baseline hydrogeological assessment of the mining site and its immediate environs. click here
Static water levels were measured in boreholes drilled during the mineral exploration phase, which are used in this study to develop a groundwater flow mechanism of the area.  Depth to the water table ranges from 1.3m below ground level (bgl) to 11.5m (bgl).  A groundwater contour map was developed from the computer code: Surfer8, which is interpreted to show that although flow within the Aquifer is fissure-controlled, lateral flow seems to be rather sluggish compared to the well-established vertical gradients.  Lateral flow within the shallow aquifer is from east to west with three zones identified to be possible recharge areas.
Knowledge of the flow mechanism will enable us to understand the degree to which seasonal variation of the water table will compromise open cast dry mining unless a dewatering protocol is adopted that would ensure the dryness of the ore prior to and during excavation.  Monitoring boreholes should be drilled at carefully selected locations to capture time series data that will be used in making informed decisions on the correct timing as well as the most appropriate method of ore excavation.

INTRODUCTION : Reducing the number of perinatal mortality rates and improving the health condition of a prematurely born baby during catamnesis are the most important issues that modern neonatology faces. Therefore, in the recent years, new concepts regarding the nutrition methodology of newborns are developed in the world.  click here
Modern diagnostic analyzes especially on low-birth-weight infants, modern technologies and the use of improved respiratory therapy increases the chance of survival for those babies. These reforms are constantly in the attention of the Medical Aid Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Health Care system. As a result of such initiatives, the construction and improvement of the centralized Perinatal Centers, the application of technologically advanced equipment and the use of effective reanimation measures have increased the chance of survival for premature babies. It is acknowledged, that early adaptation period in children with perinatal risk, who had suffered from asphyxia, is extremely tense and carries multiple life-threatening risks. As the probability of survival increases for those newborns, we experience the development of somatic disorders or the chronic course in various pathologies, resulting in serious health-related medical and social problems in the future [3].The limited rehabilitation opportunities for low and extremely-low-birth-weight infants can also increase the chances of becoming disabled. Therefore, it is still vital to diagnose possible pathologies prior to the further development of those premature babies [2]. In that regard, it is curious to observe numerous somatic and neurological conditions in the catamnesis as well as to learn characteristics of development during the rehabilitation of low-birth-weight infants. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the somatic and neurological conditions of premature infants with and without asphyxia during the catamnesis.

Abstract : Based on the classification of stance markers proposed by Biber (1999), this research studied the use of stance markers in American news reports on China-U.S trade war from the perspective of critical discourse analysis. The corpus includes 30 news reports, 15 from The Wall Street Journal and 15 from The New York Times, which are two of the top ten most influential newspapers in the world according to UNESCO.  click here
The release time of these 30 news reports is six months after Trump stated that America would impose a 25% tariff on more than 1,300 kinds of imported goods originating in China. The study finds that in American news reports on China-U.S trade war, epistemic stance markers are used for 34 times, which are more than style of speaking (N=32) and attitudinal stance markers (N=19). It is concluded that American media hold negative attitudes towards China in China-U.S. trade war, which reflects different ideologies between two countries.

Abstract : Deforestation in tropic and sub-tropical regions can be attributed to the change in land use system from forests to agriculture and industrialization. The social and scientific role of Ethnobotany are becoming more consistently defined. Its importance as a tool for complementing management and conservation strategies of biodiversity is now well recognized.  click here
In this work, ethnobotanic exploration was undertaken in the Western Highlands of Cameroon in 2017, specifically sacred forest of “Mbing Mekoup”, “Bamendjinda” and “Bamendjo” counties. It assesses the importance of ethnobotany role of species conservation in these forests. A total of 62 species belonging to 31 families and 57 genera were identified using 20m x 20m quadrat method. Among the identified species, 34% represents those with a socio-cultural importance, with numerous non-timber forest products being collected for multiple uses (Piper umbellatum used during the twin’s ritual ceremony, Bridelia speciosa, Prunus africana and Albizia gummifera being used for therapeutic purposes). Survey via interviews with indigenous from these counties revealed that these sacred forests have been protected by oral tradition for centuries. They also considered it as prioritized places reserved for traditional healers. In spite of this indigenous conservation effort, rapid increase of population, poverty and lack of arable farm land have ushered the way to degradation of these relic forests though very important in maintaining biological balances.

Key words: Cameroon conservation, diversity, endogenous ethnobotany, Sacred Forest, tradition western.
