Abstract Objective: Satisfaction is one of the most commonly described consequent measures for quality of care. This study aimed to define the mothers’ level of satisfaction with intra partum care received during hospitalization for delivery, and to recognize socio demographic and health care-related issues associated with satisfaction. click here
Methods: Four hundred and fifty nine women recruited from 14 primary health care centers were interviewed in a descriptive cross-sectional study using a structured questionnaire. Items in the questionnaire included; socio-demographic and obstetric variables, reasons behind dissatisfaction, and assessment of the levels of satisfaction. Data analysis was done using frequency distribution tables; Chi-square was used to determine the association. The p-value <0.05 was considered significant. Results: Nearly one half of the women (47.9%) of the studied women were dissatisfied with the hospital-based intra partum service, 12.6% very dissatisfied and 35.3% dissatisfied to some extent. The main reasons for their dissatisfaction; bribery has to be paid (86.3%), non-availability of medications (75.9%), prevention of companion to stay with them (65.1%), and non-preservation of confidentiality (64.3%). Women’s satisfaction with intrapartum care was significantly related to educational level, occupation, and parity. Conclusions: the overall satisfaction of the women with the intra partum care was low. Health care providers, policy makers as well as hospital managers requisite to reflect the problems which contribute to low satisfaction with childbirth in any work to recover the care.Key words: Basrah, intra partum, satisfaction, women.

Abstract : The purpose of this seminar work is focuses on effect of subsidy removal   on Nigerian economy. Specifically the study aimed to pursue the following objectives: To determine the effect of subsidy removal on food items, to ascertain the extent of the relationship between subsidy removal on standard of living, to examine the extent at which  of subsidy removal  promote  poverty. click here
The study has a a sample size of 368 using Sigmund statistical formula at 5% error to tolerance and 95% level of confidence. Instruments used for data collection were primary questionnaires and interview. The total numbers of 368 copies of the questionnaire were distributed while 305 copies were returned and 63 copies were not returned. Survey research design was adopted for the study. Three hypotheses were tested using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient and simple linear regression tool. The findings indicate that Subsidy removal   significantly   negative   affect   food  items (r = 0.847; F = 770.904; t = 27.766; p < 0.05). There is a significant negative relationship between subsidy removal and Standard of living  (r =.816, P<.05). Subsidy    removal    negatively    promotes    poverty (r = 0.758; F = 408.373; t = 20.208; p < 0.05). The study concluded that fuel subsidy removal  led to increase on the prices of goods and services, such as hikes in transportation costs and food. The study recommends that the government should pursue the development of critical infrastructures like road, bridges, drainages and warehousing facilities, which added significant cost to the business owners and improve the life the citizens.Key words: Fuel Subsidy Removal, Nigerian Economy, Standard of Living.

Title : Inventory control with dynamic adjustment of the reorder point – A case study for companies with perishable and non-perishable products, using computational techniques.
Abstract The sustainability of the marketing companies, now depend more intensely on the dynamic analysis of demand and intelligent supply management. They must be oriented to take new measures or proactive decisions that generate added value for these organizations. For this reason, the present investigation shows the application of business-oriented computational technologies with adjustments of mathematical models for the control of inventories.   click here
In which the case studies are described to evaluate the performance of these techniques that help notably to visualize the movement of each product inside the warehouse. Based on these findings, the economic quantity to be ordered, the frequency of orders, the period of each order and the products with the highest economic impact using the ABC classification are determined. The objective is to propose a viable alternative to innovate the primitive models of inventory control. Where it is discussed in several literary works, that these old models are not applied correctly, or because of their deficiency in the changes in demand, they do not control the dynamism of the entries and exits of the transactions that are generated. This is the reason why computer tools with complex analytical algorithms are used to handle large amounts of data quickly and accurately. Therefore, key techniques are established to achieve a balance between supply and demand, regulate the optimization of resources and generate a better environment between supplier and retailer. These are elements that propose new eco-methodologies for the management of modern businesses in favor of society and the environment. Key words : Inventory, adjustments, point of reorder, demand.

Abstract : Mollusks, the second most abundant animal fauna after arthropods, play an important role in their ecosystem’s rejuvenation and recycling of locked nutrients. Being tolerant species many of these can also be used in biomonitoring and risk assessment studies of aquatic as well as terrestrial ecosystems.  click here
However, very little importance has been given to these animals despite of their abundance. The freshwater Indian gastropod fauna, 4.34% of the global freshwater gastropods, has remained neglected in major part of the country. The main focus of malacofauna had been around their taxonomy and their ecology had remained more or less a neglected field. The present investigation has focused on the ecological studies of an invasive species of Physidae (P. acuta) in different types of permanent water bodies in Chandigarh and its nearby areas and according to the results of Linear Regression and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient certain parameters are positively influencing (Ph, Chloride, and Hardness) and certain negatively (Temp., Alkalinity, TDS and EC) in determining the density of the species in relation to specific parameter. The Dominance Index indicates the species under study has been found in eudominant state at all the sites.Key Words: Environmental factors, Invasive species, Pulmonates, Physidae, P. acuta

Abstract : The paper is an empirical study, which aims at exploring which factors influencing the social entrepreneurial intention among students at National Economics University (NEU), Hanoi, Vietnam. The five major contextual factors including former entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship experience, extra-curriculum entrepreneurship activity, role model and perceived support are taken into account in this study.   click here
A questionnaire with 34 items was conducted randomly at the campus in March 2017. Then, an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was performed to test the validity of the constructs, and then confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), using AMOS, was used to test the significance of the proposed hypothesis model. The result shows that perceived support, role model, and extra activity are antecedents explaining social entrepreneurial intention while education, experience do not directly affect this intention. A discussion and implications of this finding for social entrepreneurship in Vietnam are also mentioned. Keywords: social entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship experience, extra entrepreneurship activity, perceived support, role model, student sample, Vietnam.

AbstractObjectives:   Patient  safety  is  an  important  component  of  patient  care  that  emphasizing  incident management and risk reduction strategies. The present exploratory study aimed to explore Saudi nursing students’ knowledge and awareness regarding patient safety. click here
Design: A self-administered voluntary questionnaire survey. Setting: This study was conducted at college of nursing, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University,Saudi Arabia.Participants: A total of 173 nursing students who were available at the data collection time (79 third year students and 94 fourth year students). Results: The majority of students have good or very good knowledge related to patient safety and supported that ‘medical errors are expected and that what is considered as ‘best care’ may not always be provided. Also they supported the idea that ‘competent nurses do not make errors’. With regard to the skills that the students would like to acquire, close to or more than 85% considered it important to learn how to analyze the cause of an error, as well as skills in releasing an error to a patient, and supported the idea that “nurses need to know what drugs they are deal with”. Conclusion: The findings from the present study provides higher positive awareness of nursing students about patient safety. Nursing students were aware of medical errors being an expected barrier between intended ‘best care’ and what was actually provided to patients. However, effective educational interventions that target deficiencies in patient safety knowledge are greatly needed for all Nursing students.
